Free Hama Bead™ Pixel Art Workshop with artist Kendal James
Would you like to make a Pikachu badge? A Tardis keyring? A Mario for your mantelpiece, or something completely different?
Kendal James’ pixel art workshop returns to Wyntercon this year. She’ll be on hand all weekend to help you design and make a small piece of pixel art of your own to take home, for free! You’ll be provided with all of the Hama Beads™ that you need to create an accessory or artwork of your own imagining and with an experienced artist on hand to provide you with any help or guidance you need it’s definitely going to be special.
The workshop is suitable for all ages (although small children will need close parental supervision.
Upgrade for £5!
As a paid upgrade you will be provided with a board 4 times the size of the freebie leaving you with space enough for a large design or 3 more smaller things as well as your freebie.
Free “Day of The Dead” Skull Painting Workshop with James Waterfield
Like Kendal, James is a seasoned Wyntercon exhibitor and is back with something special. Come and celebrate the Mexican festival, similar to Halloween, called “The Day of The Dead” by decorating a skull made by Lawn of The Dead.
Decorate a larger a skull for £3, an even larger one for £5 and a GIANT one for £8.
Free Puppet Making Workshop led by artist and maker Fran Malone
Fran will teach you how to make a basic puppet out of Silk Clay™ and a whole host of other exciting materials, provided by The Artpothecary.
Upgrade for £5!
As a paid upgrade you will get a bumper pack of materials for you to make another puppet with at home, includes instructions and a discount voucher for The Artpothecary shop in Brighton.
Free “Finger Painting” Workshop with Beth Radish from the Artpothecary.
Ever wondered how to make a mould of something? Well. we’re giving you the opportunity to mould your finger with Alginate and cast it in Plaster of Paris, for free! Once your plaster cast has cured you will be able to paint it up and take it home… and with Halloween just around the corner… who knows what fun you could have with with your fake digit.
For £3 you can cast another finger or for £5 you can cast you whole hand!
There will also be kits available at The Artpothecary stand nearby for you to purchase and take home to have more fun with your new skill.
